Planning the Trip

Urmm, I have decided it's going to be hard to write a book, when I can't even think of anything to blog about. Well, sort of.

I found and awesome website (http://www.soyouwanna.com/site/syws/publishbook/publishbook.html) which describes the "getting published" process. I haven't looked into it that much but the first few links seem to be quite helpful. I probably won't do too much towards accomplishing anything today, since its the super bowl, and my priorities are to be a lazy glutton all night.

However, I found that notebook of fiction writings at work and typed those little gems on to my laptop, so the day hasn't become a complete waste. I also have finally settled on a very general outline of my book, and its purpose. I will have to tell you more about it later, if i don't die from alcohol poisoning.

Best of Luck,

Blah Blah blog blog blog..

S
o, I came across some interesting websites to improve writing skills along with chances of getting published. This got me excited enough to keep surfing until 5am. However, I woke up at 11:30, the time I should have had an hour and a half of work done at my actual job. I just decided to take the day off. When becoming an author, relaxation is key. I got up, drank some green tea, ate some kashi cereal, and looked at my blog. Zero views. Today is going to be a good day.

In life I have learned a lot of things. One of the most important things I have learned is to never give up, and to always believe in yourself; The Little Engine That Could taught me that. Looking in front of me, I do see some big ass mountains that I need to get my caboose over. I need to write up a proposal, which is 30-some page detailed description about the supposed book I am going to write. So, once I get an idea of what I am going to write about, that should be as fun as quitting smoking. I use to write a page of fiction at work every few days to keep my mind sharp. I might look over those pages and try to piece them together to come up with an idea for my book.

Besides preparing the path for my book, I wanted to improve my blog. Obviously by the amazing graphics, the catchy music, beautiful layout, and the zero views, I am a pro at blogging, but I have learned to accept outside opinions, so I googled. Attracting people to follow your blog is all about RSS, Feedbacks, HTML, Java, XML, porn, and everything else I don't know anything about. So, if you have any helpful advice, please feel free to email me.

Have a Great day,
Love Darkwolf

Writer's blockage

With six point-something billion people standing on the surface of the world today, you have to have talent, charisma, spunk, and seer luck to obtain success. I have none of those things, yet I do have some ambition, and I am going to milk it dry in order to get a published book. I don't need to sell a million copies or anything, I just have "getting something published" on my bucket list. I want to share my experiences of this journey with you. So whether you are an aspiring writer, someone with a dream, or just someone looking to make fun of others, you came to the right blog, and I welcome you with open arms.

Lets start with some history. I suck at everything. Looking back now, I probably suck at everything due to my father's life goal of repeatedly telling me that I do. However, I have always felt this irresistible sensation in my guts that I am meant to be great, that I have a purpose. Later in life I found out that everyone has that sensation. In elementary school, I was one of those people that loved math, and pretty much hated everything else, especially writing. It wasn't until college that I got my first compliment (kidding.. sort of), when my Composition professor called me up and suggested that I should become a writer. I thought he just ate too much peyote, but still the thought lingered next that irresistible sensation in my gut. I don't want to bore you with the ups and downs of my life, but through the process I have become a very empathetic person, so I'm told. When you put all those things into a boiling pot, and I am not quite sure what you get.

Fast forward to the present. All my other endeavors have completely, and utterly failed, just my father had predicted, so I might as well write a book. I hope you understand a little bit about me and support my efforts by following this blog to see how this adventure goes.

Much Love,
Dark Wolf
